CALL FOR PAPERS

The aim of the Ioannina Meeting on Applied Economics and Finance
(IMAEF 2008) is
to bring together academics and practitioners with research interests in applied economic and financial theory. IMAEF aims at becoming a forum for exchanging ideas in the application of theory to contemporary issues in economics and finance. Both contributions with a theoretical and empirical focus are welcome.

A maximum of 10-12 papers will be selected for presentation.

Approximately 6-8 invited presentations will cover state-of-art approaches in the meeting topics.

 

The meeting topics include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Capital markets
  • Corporate finance
  • Econometric issues, mathematical finance, statistics, quantitative methods
  • Risk management
  • Applications of computer science methods in finance
  • Financial decision making
  • Applied Macroeconomics
  • Regional Economics
  • Industrial Organisation
  • International Trade
  • Applied Labour and Demographic and Social Economics
  • Health and Education Economics

 

Submission Details

Papers will be peer-reviewed for adherence to the meeting scope and quality
Approximately 10-12 papers will be selected for presentation. The working language of the meeting is English.

Papers should not exceed 15 pages including abstract and references. Paper abstract should not exceed 200 words. Papers must be suitable for a 15-20 minute presentation.

Proceedings

Accepted papers will be published in a Proceedings CD-ROM.

Deadline: April 14, 2008 . max 15 pages, in PDF format, following the Meeting template IMAEF_manuscript_guidelines.pdf

Notification of acceptance: May 09, 2008
Camera ready copy: May 22, 2008
Meeting: June, 06 and 07, 2008.
