The Ioannina Meeting on Applied Economics and Finance will take place from Friday June 6 through Saturday June 7, 2008 in the premises of the University of Ioannina, in the Auditorium of the Central Library.

This meeting involves invited academics and researchers in various areas of applied economics and finance. It is the first such meeting to be held in Ioannina and it will take place each summer aiming at becoming a forum for exchanging ideas and experiences about the rapidly changing economic environment.

The program includes senior invited lectures in selected areas, as well as high quality presentations from other researchers.

The meeting is organized by the Economics Department of the University of Ioannina (http://www.econ.uoi.gr/) and is partly financed by the EPEAEK (Greek Operational Programme for Education and Initial Training) (http://www.epeaek.gr/).
