Internal Evaluation Report
The latest internal evaluation report of the Department of Economics for the academic years 2015-16 and 2016-17 was drafted in May 2018 in accordance with the standards of the Hellenic Quality Assurance and Accreditation Agency (HQA).
External Evaluation Report
The Department of Economics was evaluated in January 2014 in accordance with the standards of the Hellenic Quality Assurance and Accreditation Agency (HQA).
The following distinguished University Professors from abroad participated in the external evaluation:

- Giovanni Anania, Professor, Department of Economics, Statistics and Finance, University of Calabria, Italy
- Costas Hadjiyiannis, Associate Professor, Department of Economics, University of Cyprus, Cyprus
- George Saridakis, Professor, Small Business Research Centre, Business School, Kingston University.
Final Accreditation Report
According to the Report of the Accreditation Committee, which has been validated by the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education (HAHE), the Undergraduate Study Program of the Department of Economics of the University of Ioannina has been certified with the highest compliance rating “fully compliant“. The accreditation was granted following the standardized procedure that assesses undergraduate study programs against the Quality Standards of HAHE and the Quality Assurance Principles of the European Higher Education Area (ESG 2015) Level 6.
The accreditation is valid for four years (May 29, 2020 – May 28, 2024).
Evaluation by undergraduate students
Students’ evaluation helps in the continuous improvement of the curriculum and the teaching methods of the faculty members. The evaluation is based on questionnaires. The questions are based on HQA questionnaire.
